Selling: Nobody knows me by Fewocious
Fewocious
Fewo is one of the most underappreciated artists to have hit the NFT scene. Their positive energy is something you can feel within all of their works. I immediately recognized these feelings when seeing the work for the first time.
The part that really caught my eye was all of the positive energy Fewo had in a video he posted after a $6,000+ sale. A significant amount for an NFT at the time. That energy was also something new to me entering the NFT world.
After this moment, I made a promise that I would buy their works. I sensed that I needed to be part of the story that was unfolding.
During this time, I was a collector on the Meme protocol. It was basically: stake a token, wait some time to earn points and spend those points for NFT art. I thought this was quite an interesting way to earn art, which gives art more intrinsic value than a standard payment for digital or even traditional art.
What spoke to me was all of the emotion that could be felt in the work and their accompanying titles. Giving my heart away and Nobody knows me really spoke to me specifically. Relatable in my own life, and connected me even closer with Fewo.
Fewo Sale
However, at a certain point, you do need to make a sale to keep up with IRL needs. The relationship between the artists and collectors should not be one sided where all of the upside is for the artist to rake in millions in sales. So I have decided to sell.
As hard as it is to see this collection go, there is a point in time where the collector must also make a move for themselves. For me, it’s a big change in my own life.
The art journey depicted here also reflects my own life as well. Fewo was just moving to Seattle to go live in their first house by themselves as a teenager. Now I look to do the same (although older :D to move somewhere new.
I am grateful for the time I had holding these works. Trust me when I say that you will not regret purchasing any artwork from Fewocious, he truly is a once in a generation talent.
There is also historical value within this collection that you may not see from just looking at the works. These are early pieces from the artist on what is to be a very long and legendary art career. This collection was also a catalyst in the support Fewo received from the community. It also happened to be their first NFTs with audio within them.
